Fyne Gallery is situated on the quayside in the picturesque
fishing village of Tarbert, Kintyre. The distinctive
building built circa 1880 initially housed a chandlery to
service the large herring fishing fleet sailing out of
Tarbert. The classic novel “Gillespie” written by J.
MacDougall Hay a Tarbert man is based on this business and
owner of that time. The spacious interior design, especially
the grand ornate ceiling lends itself naturally to its
present day use.
